Sunrise Telecom has appointed two new board members, replacing two members who resigned. Peter Kamin and Alan Howe replace Henry Huff and Jennifer Walt.
Kamin is currently the founder and managing partner of 3K Limited Partnership. For the previous 11 years, he was a founding member and managing partner of ValueAct Capital. Prior to founding ValueAct Capital in 2000, Kamin founded and managed Peak Investment.
Howe is currently managing partner of Broadband Initiatives, described as a boutique corporate advisory firm. His specialty is providing board leadership working with small-cap and microcap companies (both public and private), particularly in turnaround situations.
Howe worked at Sprint, Covad and Teletrac in a variety of senior managerial roles. He also served both as a director and as chairman in multiple companies in a variety of industries, including telecom and wireless equipment, software, IT services, wireless RF services, golf-shaft manufacturing, semiconductors, and storage.
“Peter and Alan have a solid blend of skills well-suited to guiding a smaller company at the board level to recognize and capitalize on its opportunities,” said Chris Pfeiffer, Sunrise Telecom co-founder and chair of the nominating committee. “Henry and Jennifer have given the company many years of devoted service, and I sincerely thank them.”
