Aastra Technologies has won a contract to provide redundant IP video routing for Turner Broadcasting System Inc. (TBS).
Under the deal, TBS will use Aastra’s VideoRunner MPEG networking platform to connect its Buenos Aires, Argentina studio to its central studios in Atlanta. The system will also enable TBS to access redundant routing between satellite and undersea fiber optic transport, Aastra said.
It marks the second deployment of VideoRunner by TBS. The programmer also uses the system to encode and distribute 87 channels of national news coverage within its Techwood campus in Atlanta simultaneously over ASI and IP interfaces.
