TCL announced pricing and availability today of its 4K Ultra HD TCL Roku TV models for the U.S. market. The TVs were originally announced at the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show. Prices run from around $500-$1,100 and more details are available here.
“The time is right to bring these new 4K TVs to consumers as the 4K market has matured quickly over the last year, with new standards set in place and 4K content creation increasing,” Chris Larson, VP of sales and marketing at TCL, says.
The 4K TCL Roku TV models include a quad-core processor and offer Ultra HD picture quality with more than eight million pixels. The new TVs also include the proprietary TCL Creative Pro 4K UHD Upscaling Engine, which allows consumers to view 1080p HD content in near 4K quality, according to the company.
Discovering 4K content is done via Roku’s 4K Spotlight Channel. The channel features a curated selection of 4K content from a variety of streaming channels. A 4K UHD category is also included within the Roku Channel Store including access to 4K programming from the likes of Amazon Video, Netflix, VUDU, YouTube, UltraFlix and others.
