TDS Telecom became the latest in a long line of service providers to offer authenticated streaming services from HBO Go and Max Go to its subscribers across various devices.
TDS Telecom, the nation’s seventh-largest local exchange telephone company, is now able to offer more than 1,700 HBO titles, including “Game of Thrones” and “Boardwalk Empire,” to its subscribers via HBO Go, and more than 400 titles from Cinemax.
The services work on any computer in the United States that has a broadband connection, as well as iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch and select Android smartphones. With HBO Go, subscribers can also access the streaming video on Kindle Fire devices and as well as on services and platforms such as Apple TV, Google’s Chromecast, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Samsung Smart TVs and Roku.

With HBO Go and Max Go, TDS TV customers have greater flexibility to watch more of their favorite shows and movies virtually anytime, anywhere.”
TDS subscribers can access the video content on the TDS, HBO Go and Max Go web portals by signing in with their TDS user IDs and passwords.
With the online services, TDS video subscribers can access most of the new titles the same day that they premier on the premium networks. It also gives users the ability to create a watchlist that keeps track of bookmarked content for later viewing; bonus content including interviews, recaps and behind-the-scenes extras; and customizable views showing titles in a slideshow, grid or list format.
HBO Go can be personalized through a “Series Pass” capability that automatically alerts viewers to new episodes of favorite HBO programs when they arrive on the service.
HBO has aggressively rolled out its TV Everywhere services to numerous video providers, including Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications, Verizon, Charter Communications, Suddenlink Communications, Bright House Networks and Cablevision.
Earlier this year, TDS Telecom flipped the switch on its first 1-Gig service offering in Hollis, New Hampshire after announcing in May that it was buying BendBroadband for $262 million.
