Telco Systems has joined AFL Telecommunications’ Fiber Made Easy program. The pair will provide end-to-end system integration as well as consulting services and solutions to help developers deliver Ethernet-based FTTH networks.
AFL Telecom, a provider of fiber and optical system equipment, helps with the design and deployment of FTTH networks. Its experience is largely with so-called master communities and MDUs. Its FTTH Made Easy Business Modeling Tool does ROI modeling for PON and point-to-point active Ethernet to help developers determine the best solution for their homeowners.
Telco Systems specializes in carrier-class transport and access solutions for public and private IP and TDM networks. It says its Active Ethernet system is especially appropriate for IPTV, VoIP and VOD because it offers dedicated bandwidth based on individual requirements and differentiated services for residential and business customers in the same area.
AFL Telecom has at least one other Fiber Made Easy ally in Leviton Manufacturing, a provider of electrical and electronic products largely for the home builder market.
