Traffic? What traffic? Soon traffic might be a thing of the past thanks to Uber Technologies Inc. The company is hoping to develop flying cars to ferry passengers around, and they’ve hired a NASA engineer to help make the dream a reality.
Uber hired Mark Moore, a chief technologist at the Langley Research Center in Virginia who specializes in conceptual designs for advanced aeronautic aircraft.
The company thinks it can have Vertical Takeoff and Landing—vehicles that travel up to 200 miles per hour while hovering about 250 feet off the ground. All of this and they plan to have it all up and running in select markets within three years.
