ThinkAnalytics and Internet Video Archive (IVA) have entered what they’re calling a metadata matching agreement that will sync the former’s search and recommendations engine with the latter’s online trailer service.
IVA’s entertainment metadata will be matched to the ThinkAnalytics Search and Recommendations Engine. The combination will enable video service providers to present trailers and other promotional content with the results of a search or a recommendation process.
IVA claims a library of one million video files. ThinkAnalytics’ ThinkMovies has metadata for over 500,000 movie titles in more than 20 languages.
Additionally, customers will have access to ThinkTV, which includes10,000 moods, tags and keywords for regional TV shows, and ThinkSports, covering 50 sports across more than 20 countries.
“Trailers and previews help connect consumers to additional purchase options, and are key to delivering new content recommendations tailored to the individual, across platforms and devices,” said Christy Martin, chief technical advisor, ThinkAnalytics.
IVA’s affiliate network includes Comcast and its Fandango subsidiary, Verizon, B&N.com, The New York Times, Flixster, and Sony Electronics. The company claims an audience reach of 450 million and that it has delivered over 5 billion plays..
