Time Warner Cable Business Class is offering a free, Web-based portal to its customers in the New York City area that allows them to manage their phone services and features from anywhere with an Internet connection.
The portal, which is called Voice Manager, lets business-class voice customers edit their phone settings in real time, access voicemail and view Caller ID via AOL Instant Messenger.
“Voice Manager provides businesses the opportunity to customize phone features, and therefore increase mobility, productivity and flexibility,” said Ken Fitzpatrick, president of business services for Time Warner Cable’s East Region. “This service is a complementary feature in our business-class product suite offering and reinforces our commitment to delivering innovative solutions and access to business information anytime, anywhere, even while on the go.”
Administrative and end-user features include:
- Online access to voicemail, which allows users to review, save and forward voicemails as e-mail attachments
- Auto Attendant, which automatically answers important business calls with a pre-defined user menu
- Business Group Feature Package, which includes features that enhance communications within a customer’s business
- Group Voicemail, which enables up to 10 mailboxes (or employees) to have private voicemail service through a single number
Auto Attendant, Business Group Feature Package and Group Voicemail each come with additional monthly fees.
Voice Manager is also available to Time Warner Cable Business Class customers in other systems of its East Region, including Maine, New Jersey, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina and South Carolina.
