Time Warner Cable is now offering its 50 Mbps down, 5 Mbps up DOCSIS 3.0-based tier in Oneida, N.Y.
Time Warner Cable first launched the 50/5 tier, which is called Time Warner Cable Wideband Internet, in Buffalo and Syracuse, N.Y., in March.
The Oneida Daily Dispatch said the wideband tier was available to Time Warner Cable subscribers for $99.95 per month, while Time Warner Cable’s Road Runner Extreme service, which has speeds of 30 Mbps/5 Mbps, was available for $69.85 per month.
In addition to Syracuse, Buffalo and Oneida, the wideband tier is also available in the central New York communities of Utica and Watertown and will soon include parts of Tompkins, Jefferson and Cortland counties later this summer or in early fall.
The newspaper said the wideband tier was available to Time Warner Cable Business Class customers, as well.
