Time Warner Cable has hired former CenturyLink executive Jeffery Painting as senior vice president and chief sales officer.
Painting will report to Phil Meeks, executive vice president and chief operating officer of business services for Time Warner Cable. Meeks came to Time Warner Cable from Cox Business earlier this year.
“Jeff’s tremendous sales acumen, strong leadership skills and proven track record in business services make him the ideal executive to lead our sales team and help position Time Warner Cable Business Services for continued revenue and customer growth,” said Meeks. “Jeff is joining us at a truly exciting time. Time Warner Cable’s business services are enjoying significant revenue growth and we’re focused on our goal of more than doubling our annual revenue to $5 billion over the next four to five years. His appointment completes my newly assembled senior leadership team and I am pleased to welcome someone as accomplished as Jeff to help take our organization to the next level.”
Prior to Time Warner Cable, Painting most recently served as president of business sales and care at CenturyLink, where he was responsible for more than $3.5 billion in annual revenue and oversaw a workforce of more than 2,000. Before joining CenturyLink in 2008, Painting held several business sales roles and leadership positions during an 18-year span at BellSouth Corporation. He began his career at AT&T.
Painting will join the company on Oct. 28 and will be based in Time Warner Cable’s headquarters in New York City.
