Time Warner Cable’s Alan Lui has been named senior vice president for HR Centers of Expertise and now assumes overall responsibility for guiding the human resource operations and benefits, talent acquisition and movement, learning and development, and diversity and inclusion teams for the company.
Lui reports to Peter Stern, Time Warner Cable’s executive vice president and chief strategy, people and corporate development officer.
“Alan is a respected, thoughtful leader who will champion new ideas and develop the HR competencies that will help our business and our people thrive,” Stern said. “Working in support of our HR business partners, the HR Centers of Expertise will help Time Warner Cable attract, select, develop, engage and retain an expert workforce committed and empowered to giving customers control in ways that are simple and easy.”
Previously, Lui was Time Warner Cable’s group vice president of video strategy. Before joining Time Warner Cable, Lui founded Nove Technologies, which developed high-temperature super-conductors. He also worked at McKinsey & Co. as a consultant and manager of professional development.
Lui holds a B.S. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
