Time Warner Cable Business Class today announced that it offering connectivity to the Equinix Cloud Exchange, an interconnection solution that enables businesses to choose and connect securely to public Cloud Service Providers (CSP), such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Rackspace.
Satya Parimi, global vice president of product management for Time Warner Cable Business Services, remarked in a statement that the demand for secure and high capacity connectivity to cloud providers continues to increase.
“TWCBC already offers secure and reliable Ethernet connectivity to our NaviSite cloud platform,” Parimi said. “With the announcement today, we can now meet connectivity requirements for customers who use another cloud service providers to meet their IT needs.”
Ethernet connectivity to the Equinix Cloud Exchange is delivered over TWCBC’s network by leveraging network interconnection points with Equinix at key locations across the country.
The company notes that this enables businesses to have a secure and private network to access their cloud and physical IT infrastructure from virtually anywhere in the US.
The connections to the Cloud Exchange are available from 10 Mbps to 10 Gbps speeds, depending on capacity availability from the public CSP requirements.
