IMMCO Inc. (https://www.immcoinc.com) said Time Warner Cable of New York City (https://www3.twcnyc.com) has agreed to deploy its iBISS NET enterprise software to provide “intelligent” mapping of the area’s network. The software package will enable TWC to view electronically items such as streets, poles, businesses, fiber and electronic components.
TWC said it is particularly interested in IMMCO’s “Business Points” feature, which graphically pinpoints the locations of businesses operating within the cable market.
“It should help us make use of the hidden value in our network systems, and we should be able to cut-down on engineering costs while providing valuable information for other departments,” said Karl Riley, system mapping manager for TWC of NYC, a system comprised of 3,300 plant-miles of cable that serves a combined customer base of 1.2 million.
