This new app provides static and dynamic coefficients of friction (COF) for more than 200 pairings of commonly used materials and engineered coatings. Friction Calculator’s materials database is continually updated with new materials and coatings.
The app also features various surface engineering resources, providing information on surface roughness, calculating corrosion rates, wear mechanisms, and thread tolerances.
A Mid-Range Option for Embedded Designs
Priced at $295, the latest addition in the TI software emulator family offers USB connectivity.
Texas Instruments (TI) has announced a new class of JTAG emulator, the XDS200. This new emulator can be utilized for hardware debugging, algorithm development, and programming on TI’s embedded processors. XDS200 JTAG emulators support a USB connection to the host computer and work with 32- and 64-bit versions of Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.
JTAG emulators grant developers direct access to the application program, memory, and registers, and provide the ability to control device execution. All TI JTAG emulators, including the new XDS200, can be controlled through a software integrated development environment (IDE), such as TI’s Code Composer Studio IDE, which can be utilized across TI’s entire embedded processing portfolio.
These starter kits offer a low-cost approach to training. Developed to provide WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM fundamentals, the ETHERNET Starter Kits consist of comprehensive I/O nodes complete with software site licenses and hardware. The kits come with free, downloadable sample applications, including visualization, controlling process digital inputs and outputs, controlling rotating machinery, and processing the fieldbus controller’s real-time clock.
Based on WAGO’s popular IP20 and IP67 control platforms, the high-value ETHERNET Starter Kits feature:
- Supplementary I/O modules.
- Power supplies and cabling.
- A quick start guide.
- A tools and documents DVD to support training.
