The 2015 Toyota Camry features the most American-manufactured content of any vehicle, according to an annual list compiled by Cars.com.
Although it’s ironic that a Japanese owned automotive manufacturer would be on top of the list, the Camry is built at plants in Georgetown, Ky. and Lafayette, Ind. The production of the Camry, which helped to employ 5,900 assembly workers, surpassed the Ford F-150, which topped the list in 2014. The Toyota Sienna, Chevrolet Traverse, Honda Odyssey and GMC Acadia rounded up the list’s top five.
