Time Warner Cable has added yet another feather to its TV Everywhere cap by reaching a deal to stream 300 live channels to Xbox 360 gaming consoles.

The TWC TV app for Xbox users will launch later this summer with gamers being able to download it from the Xbox Live Marketplace. In order to watch the live TV channels, Xbox users have to be Xbox Live Gold members and Time Warner Cable subscribers.

Financial terms of the agreement weren’t released.

“We look forward to introducing TWC TV to Xbox 360 and providing customers with this new viewing experience within the home,” said Mike Angus, senior vice president and general manager of video, Time Warner Cable. “We are very excited about Microsoft’s vision for entertainment and the vast possibilities Xbox offers.”

Some of the more notable programmers that are part of the deal include AMC, BBC World News, Bravo, Cartoon Network, CNN, Comedy Central, Food Network, and HGTV.

Xbox users will be able to use the Kinect for Xbox 360 feature for voice commands while using the app.

In order to watch the live shows, the cable subscribers will need to authenticate themselves with their Time Warner Cable credentials.

“TWC TV is a significant addition to Xbox 360, bringing our customers their favorite entertainment in one place-enhanced TV experience, games, movies, music, sports and entertainment apps,” said Blair Westlake, corporate vice president, media and entertainment group at Microsoft. “Our partnership with TWC enhances all that is available on Xbox 360 today, which will we continue expand. We’re thrilled to offer TWC TV to U.S. Xbox Live members and Time Warner Cable subscribers.”

Comcast also has a deal in place to provide TV Everywhere services to Xbox users.
