AT&T U-verse has extended the availability of live TV channels to Android devices. Twenty of those 100 channels are available for viewing on Android devices outside the home.
Those same 100 channels are also available for home viewing through AT&T’s Uverse.com web portal. The company said it plans to add more live channels on an ongoing basis.
AT&T made these channels available earlier this month on Apple iOS devices.
Separately, AT&T will later this week launch Digital Life in seven new markets: Birmingham, Las Vegas, Louisville, Nashville, Raleigh, Richmond and Tucson.
Digital Life is AT&T’s home security and home monitoring service, offered through any broadband connection and any wireless service (not only its own).
The company said it had exceeded its target of delivering Digital Life to 50 markets by the end of this year; as of next Friday, it will be available in 52 markets.
