Charter Communications announced this morning that Justin Venech was hired for the position of vice president, communications.
Venech joined Charter from Time Warner Cable where he was vice president, public relations. In his new job, Venech reports to Alex Dudley, senior vice president, communications and public affairs, who also was previously his boss at Time Warner Cable. Dudley left Time Warner Cable for Charter earlier this year.
At Charter, Venech will oversee communications and media relations for Charter’s financial, government affairs and Charter Business teams.
“Justin is a proven leader who brings with him a wealth of industry knowledge and expertise in developing and executing high-impact, strategic communications,” said Dudley. “He will be a valuable contributor and resource to our department and to Charter.”
Venech joined Time Warner Cable in 2003. Prior to that, he was in media relations at Rainbow Media Holdings, Inc., (now AMC Networks.) He is a member of the Association of Cable Communicators (ACC), the Cable and Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM), and the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE).
