Today, Verizon announced the availability of a new DSL-based data tier that features speeds between 10 to 15 Mbps on the downstream and 1 Mbps up.
Verizon said the new tier was initially available to more than 4 million households and small businesses.
The cost for the 10 to 15 Mbps/1 Mbps service is $49.99 per month for residential customers with voice service from Verizon and $59.99 per month for those without voice service.
Small-business pricing for the new higher-speed tier begins at $89.99 per month as a standalone service with a two-year agreement and $99.99 per month with no term contract.
