Viamedia has developed a service that enables MVPDs that have as few as 1,500 television households to deliver local advertising.
The new solution, unveiled at the Independent Show, provides small to medium-sized operators with sales, traffic, cross channel marketing, encoding, billing and other services associated with selling local advertising. Potential customers can take advantage of as few or as many of the services as they require.
Viamedia is essentially scaling down its existing infrastructure designed for larger systems. The company said it provides the hardware and sales infrastructure at no capital investment by the MVPD operator.
The company counts among its clients Time Warner Cable, Cneturylink, RCN, Atlantic Broadband, Knology, SureWest and Verizon (FiOS).
“Viamedia provides world-class advertising sales representation for some of the largest MVPDs in the United States,” says Viamedia CEO and Co-Founder, Jeff Carter. “Now we can provide that same enterprise-quality solution to small-medium operators delivering advertising representation for any system, in any DMA in the U.S.”
