This Saturday, Videotron will launch the latest version of its illico on demand services, this one aimed at French language speakers in the provinces of Quebec and Ontario.
Illico Club Unlimited will be offered at $9.99/month. For that, subscribers will get unlimited access to movies, television series, children’s programs, documentaries, comedy shows and concerts. Though targeted at the French-speaking audience, Videotron’s library of English-language titles will also be available.
Subscribers will be able to access the service through their television sets on channel 900, and computers through illico.tv. The company said an illico.tv app for Android tablets will be available in a few days.
“illico Club Unlimited has the largest selection of unlimited, on-demand French-language titles in Canada,” said Robert Dépatie, president and CEO of Videotron. “Once again, our team is proud to have developed a home-grown product for local consumers. As always, we were guided by our determination to offer a product that exceeds viewers’ expectations. We leveraged the expertise of our content strategy teams to develop and deliver a diverse, relevant selection of mainly French-language content suited to the local market.”
