Vignette has introduced its Digital Services Hub, a system that enables any company (including service providers) to manage and deliver rich multimedia content to any Web-enabled device through a single unified framework.
The Digital Services Hub also provides tracking and analysis to ensure content reaches the intended audience. The initial offering, now available, targets telecommunications, media and entertainment companies.
The company said that British Sky Broadcasting (Sky) is using Vignette technology to deliver a range of infotainment content services through Web and mobile channels, SVOD TV, and community services for its broadband customers.
“Vignette enables Sky to bring world-class programming and content to market quicker and across multiple channels while creating a personalized experience for our customers,” said Reehan Sheikh, enterprise architect, Digital Strategy and Architecture at News International, a sister company of Sky. “Vignette has helped bring the Web and TV closer together by offering innovative services and by giving customers the ability to watch what they want, when they want and where they want with Sky Anytime IP SVOD service.”
