Voyager Mobile, the latest prepaid MVNO to resell Sprint’s 3G and WiMAX service, has delayed today’s launch because of an attack on its website.
According to a post on the company’s website, Voyager Mobile “experienced a malicious network attack to its primary website.” Voyager is postponing the launch to a “time and date” in the very near future.
Voyager promises two options, including a $19 talk and text plan, as well as a $39 plan that will include talk, text and data.
The company will feature a range of Android and Windows Phone smartphones, including the Samsung Epic 4G.
If successful, the company said it plans initial launches in Alabama, Delaware, Georgia, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington and West Virginia.
Voyager Mobile could not be reached for comment prior to press time.
