The Women in Cable Telecommunications Rocky Mountain Chapter today announced that its 7th Annual Rocky Mountain Tech It Out Conference is slated for Nov. 13 at Infinity Park Event Center in the Denver suburb of Glendale.
WICT’s Tech It Out Conference was designed to bring together thought-leaders in technology and create strong women leaders, both inside and outside of the cable industry.
The 2014 Rocky Mountain event will feature keynotes by Joan Gillman, executive vice president and COO, Time Warner Cable Media Services; Susan Sher, former chief of staff to Michelle Obama and first female corporation counsel for the City of Chicago; and Myrna Soto, chief security officer for Comcast.
Other speakers include:
• Colleen Abdoulah, chairwoman, WOW!;
• Cynthia Carpenter, vice president/product management, Charter Communications;
• Sherita Ceasar, vice president, EPS national video deployment engineering, Comcast and 2014 WICT/SCTE Technology Woman of the Year;
• Marianne Cooper, author, sociologist and lead researcher for “Lean In: Work, Women and the Will to Lead,” by Sheryl Sandberg;
• Leslie Ellis, president, Translation-Please.com;
• Maria Popo, president, Ubee Interactive and president, WICT Rocky Mountain;
• Jodi Robinson, vice president/Internet and interactive technologies, Starz;
• Rebecca Rusk, vice president/interactive experience, Turner Broadcasting, UX Center of Excellence;
• Amy Tykeson, managing trustee, Tykeson Family Charitable Trust, former president/CEO, BendBroadband;

Panel discussions will include “Career Seasons,” “Frenemies,” “Lean In – Or Lean Out?” and more. The program will also include an expanded STEM/Student Outreach initiative, focused on educational communities in Colorado, Nebraska, and Utah, and that will award 35 high school and college students with Tech It Out scholarships.
The conference will run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
