Windstream has expanded its relationship with AT&T’s DirecTV for Business to provide entertainment solutions to small business customers.
Windstream’s small business customers can choose from DirecTV’s business-oriented content options, including sports programs.
“DirecTV offers a diversity of product choices that will be a great fit for our small business customers who want premium entertainment at the best prices,” says Jeff Small, president of consumer and small business for Windstream, in a statement. “With DirecTV small businesses can keep their customers entertained and informed with viewing options that meet their business needs.”
Also this week, Windstream announced it’s expanding its field technician workforce in order to keep up with growing demand from residential and small business customers for its Kinetic-branded high-speed internet services.
The company says it has hired 450 new technicians across 18 states in the past year and anticipates hiring up to 100 additional technicians before the end of the year. This will bring its local field tech workforce to nearly 3,000.
“Our significant network investments are enabling us to deliver our premium Kinetic services to more customers, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. In fact, we have now seen six consecutive months of consumer broadband growth through August,” says Small. “Delivering faster Internet speeds to more customers is an important part of our continuing commitment to bridge the urban/rural connectivity divide for the communities we serve – creating jobs and improving the customer experience.”
