With the addition of four cities in the Southeast, WOW! Business continues to roll out its 110 Mbps down, 15 Mbps up tier to more small businesses across its footprint.
WOW! Business is now offering the 110 Mbps service in Augusta, Charleston, Knoxville and Panama City for a total of 10 Southeast markets. WOW! Business has now rolled out the 110 Mbps speed in 16 markets since mid-December, including six in the Midwest.
The 110 tier was designed for businesses that need faster speeds than what they were previously getting from their telco providers. RCN Business also doesn’t require businsseses to bundle in a voice offering to receive the best pricing on the 110 service. The 110/15 business offering, which uses Arris’ cable modems, cost $220 to $275 a month, depending on the contract length.
“We’re nearing the completion of our rapid expansion of high-speed Internet service in the Southeast and Midwest and are already seeing an excellent response rate from single and multi-location businesses in a variety of market segments,” said Brad Cheedle, senior vice president of WOW! Business. “Unlike many other providers, we’re listening to our customers and delivering the flexibility and high level of customer service they want and expect without requiring businesses to purchase a bundle that includes voice or other products.”
WOW! Business has also been active doubling the speeds for some of its other tiers in the areas that it serves. For example, WOW! Business has increased the speed of its $60 service from 15/2 Mbps to 30/5 Mbps and no longer requires that the service be bundled with voice. Download/upload speed tiers of 8/1 Mbps and 60/5 Mbps are also available. WOW! Business operates in 19 markets across 11 states.
In October, WOW! Business started offering its voice, data and cloud services to businesses in Annapolis and other communities in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. In December WOW! announced it was cutting 9 percent of its more than 3,000 employees.
