OTT service Xumo last week announced that select short-form content from the History channel would be added to its lineup in the U.S.
Company officials said Xumo users would be able to instantly access and stream History programming on-demand through smart TVs as well as mobile and web connections.
“This resonates with Xumo’s engaged audience,” Xumo Content Programming SVP Stefan Van Engen said in a statement. “We’re excited to offer History’s short form programming in a free, lean back streaming environment.”
History content can be viewed on Xumo channel 350 and Channel Plus, powered by Xumo, for LG.
“We are confident that History’s unique brand of factual entertainment will be a hit with the growing Xumo audience,” added A+E Networks Distribution and Digital Content Licensing SVP Mark Garner.
