Zanaware Technologies said its products can now support the headend equipment not only of the most prevalent newer systems, but also the equipment of many formerly popular legacy systems from companies such as General Instrument, Scientific-Atlanta and Terayon.
Zanaware said its Channel Lineup Pro and Auto Backr Pro now include over 50 headend profiles covering products from over 20 major vendors. These latest enhancements offer MSOs simplified, plug-and-play solutions for backing up, restoring and managing headend networks.
“Following the successful deployments of Channel LineupPro and Auto Backr Pro among eight of North America’s top MSOs, our next step was to include built-in device profiles for virtually every headend on the market,” said Jay Cox, president of Zanaware. “This includes not only the most common headend equipment from today’s manufacturers, but also most of the popular ‘legacy’ products from major and minor vendors that may be out of production and no longer supported by the manufacturer.”
The range of headend devices that Channel Lineup Pro and Auto Backr Pro currently support includes receivers (off-air and satellite), decoders, encoders, multiplexers, ad servers, ad splicers, QAM modulators, set-top controllers, cable modem termination systems (CMTS), power strips, switches and more.
Channel Lineup Pro enables cable operators to document, track, store and access multiple channel lineups, channels and headend devices through a single web interface. Auto Backr Pro enables MSOs to automatically back up the configuration files and databases of multiple headend devices from multiple vendors on a weekly or daily basis.
