Hirose has introduced the IT18 Series, an officially licensed COM-HPC® standard compatible BGA mezzanine connector with 400 positions on a 0.635 mm pitch, supporting PCIe Gen5 at 32GT/s, Gen6 at 64GT/s PAM4 and 100Gb Ethernet (4×25Gb). Available in 5 mm and 10 mm stacking heights, the connector uses an open pin-field layout for flexible routing and includes a metal cap, guide features and a pin-in-ball structure to support soldering reliability and signal integrity. The IT18 Series is intended for industrial automation, medical imaging and test & measurement equipment where high-speed transmission, dense board layouts and low-profile connector designs are required.
