Coilcraft has introduced the CSX7030 series current sensing transformer for power electronics and automotive current measurement. The chip-style device has a 3.3 mm profile, supports sense currents above 20 A, offers turns ratios from 1:50 to 1:200 and provides bandwidth up to and beyond 1 MHz for applications such as DC-DC converters, motor drives, inverters and power management circuits. The CSX7030 series is AEC-Q200 qualified and rated for 1000 Vrms isolation between primary and secondary, making it suitable for harsh automotive environments. Its low DCR helps reduce conduction losses and self-heating in high-current designs.
