Infineon Technologies AG introduced the OPTIREG™ PMIC TLE9744QK for high-voltage traction inverter applications in electric and hybrid vehicles. The device integrates power-supply functions, resolver excitation and a dedicated safety engine to support isolated rails for microcontrollers, communication modules and sensors while reducing component count and PCB area. Its Integrated Safety Logic monitors phase currents, DC-link voltage, the MCU and gate drivers while a redundant supply input maintains safety functions during main low-voltage supply failures; the device is developed according to ISO 26262 for ASIL-D compliance.
