xMEMS Labs has introduced the XMC-1200 active micro fan for AR, XR, smart glasses, microdisplays and compact wearable devices. The 46 mm² µCooling chip is designed for integration into space-constrained areas such as glasses temple arms and, when paired with the Astra2 drive ASIC, consumes 70 mW of typical power while delivering up to a 10°C temperature reduction at a 1W thermal load. The device supports thermal management for displays, processors and camera systems to help maintain brightness stability, sustained compute performance, longer recording sessions and wearer comfort.
