KYOCERA AVX has released the AEVA and AEVB series surface-mount aluminum electrolytic capacitors for industrial systems exposed to vibration and high temperature, including robotics, motor control units, photovoltaic inverters, DC/DC converters and UPS equipment. The capacitors are rated for up to 30g acceleration, up to +125°C operation, low ESR and low leakage of ≤0.01CV or 3μA, with AEVA options spanning 6.3-100VDC and 10μF-4,700μF and AEVB options spanning 16-50VDC and 47μF-2,200μF. Plastic support structures and termination designs increase soldering area and board-mount strength, which helps improve reliability in compact assemblies under mechanical stress.
