electronica opens in Munich on November 10, and edge lab LIVE! (ELLi) runs all four days in Hall C5 at Messe München. Two key areas of focus are the problems sitting on most embedded engineers’ desks: getting edge AI into shipping hardware and getting ready for the EU Cyber Resilience Act.

The format is practical. Much of the schedule is 75- to 90-minute workshops, and many send attendees home with the dev kit they used. Hardware includes NXP’s FRDM-A-S32K344 and FRDM i.MX 95 boards, Infineon’s PSOC Edge E84 AI kit, Nordic’s nRF9151 DK, and a Riverdi STM32U5 display board.

Day one opens with a keynote on scaling innovation for the AI era from Arduino, congatec, and SECO. Adam Taylor of Adiuvo covers FPGA resource trade-offs using the open-source Explorer Board. Qualcomm’s Raul Muñoz builds a voice-controlled edge AI app live, with the audience supplying training data from their phones.

November 11 turns to physical AI. Microchip’s Mark Reiten and Orr Danon, co-founder of Hailo, give the keynote. Shawn Hymel runs a reinforcement learning workshop that trains a policy to balance a small wheeled robot, then tackles the sim-to-real gap. That evening, Hymel hosts An Evening of Edge AI, which includes the electronica Edge Awards.

November 12 is CRA Day. The Act’s vulnerability and incident reporting obligations already apply as of September 2026. Full product requirements arrive in December 2027. Sessions cover SBOM and VEX workflows on Zephyr, TPM 2.0 for physical AI, measured boot on RISC-V, and patching device fleets at scale. Marta Rybczynska leads two workshops and joins an evening expert panel moderated by Satyajit Sinha of IoT Analytics.

Friday belongs to the open-source communities, with Zephyr Project and Yocto Project meetups. PICMG CTO Doug Sandy explains why Y2K38 exposure in IPMI pushed the group toward a new hardware platform management standard.

Sessions are free to attend, with seating subject to availability. Paid workshops start at €10 and include reserved seating and an electronica pass. The All Access Pass runs €250 plus a booking fee. The full program and registration are at edgebench.io/go-elli.
