Nordic Semiconductor has announced the nRF71 Series, which combines Wi-Fi® 6 or Wi-Fi® 6E, Bluetooth® LE, Thread® and edge AI on one chip, with the first parts offering a 256 MHz Arm® Cortex®-M33, 4 MB of non-volatile memory and 1 MB of RAM. The nRF7120 and nRF7120E are aimed at battery-powered smart home, wearables and industrial IoT designs where lower standby power, fewer components and simultaneous Wi-Fi plus short-range connectivity are important.
