5 vendors earn D3 certification from CableLabs

December 14, 2009 By Mike Robuck

Motorola, SMC Networks, Netgear, CastleNet and Ubee Interactive recently garnered DOCSIS 3.0 certification from CableLabs for their modems or EMTAs.

The vendors gained certification in CableLabs’ Wave 71, which was posted on the CableLabs Web site Friday morning.

Netgear’s CG3200D Wireless-N voice/data cable gateway achieved DOCSIS 3.0 certification, as well as its 8×4 CMD31B cable modem.

Other vendors that also received certification were Motorola, for its Surfboard SBG65580 wireless cable modem gateway; SMC, for its D3USG EMTA; Ubee, for its DVW3200 EMTA; and CastleNet, for its CBC-381 modem.

For DOCSIS 2.0, CableLabs certified AM Communications’ DSM3 cable modem and Arris’ TM632A EMTA.
