Zhone Technologies will provide the equipment for Doylestown Telephone’s upgrade to a fiber-based triple-play network.
The operator will deploy Zhone’s MXK multiservice access node (MSAN) to support a gigabit passive optical network (GPON) that will rely on (ADSL) for last-mile connectivity.
The upgrade will also include Zhone’s MXK optical line termination (OLT) card, zNID optical network terminals (ONTs) and EZ Touch Provisioning system.
Doylestown plans to deliver high-speed Internet access, VoIP and video services to its customers. The network will carry both RF and IP video.
Doylestown Telephone is a local exchange telephone service provider in Doylestown and surrounding Chippewa Township in Wayne County, Ohio.
