Insight Communications increased its total revenue 17 percent year-over-year to total $205.8 million in Q1 2008, and the company’s total customer relationships increased by 41,000 to total 737,500 in the quarter.
Basic video customers improved by 15,100, an increase of 2.2 percent. Total basic customers at quarters-end were 689,000. Digital customers increased by 16,300 to total 396,900 at the end of the first quarter.
High-speed Internet subscribers increased by 26,300 in the quarter – an increase of 3,200. Total high-speed Internet customers at the end of Q1 were 412,200.
And telephony subscribers grew by 25,500, bringing the company’s total telephony customer base to 211,700 at quarter’s end.
The quarter, Insight said, was the highest-growing quarter in the company’s history for basic, high-speed Internet and telephony additions.
