Amino Communications has received what it called a substantial order from Intracom Telecom for IPTV set-tops.
Intracom Telecom, a repeat customer for Amino, provides a range of broadband, mobile, telephony and IPTV services in 16 countries in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North America. It is based in Greece.
Amino said it will supply MPEG-2/MPEG-4 IPTV/OTT set-top boxes for the continued rollout of HD services across networks in two countries in Eastern Europe. The box supports live streaming (HLS) capability to deliver content across both managed and unmanaged networks.
Amino CEO Donald McGarva said: “This is our first HD deployment in Eastern Europe and was secured via a very thorough and competitive process.”
Separately, Amino reported semi-annual results, including a 19 percent increase in gross profits.
