Bright House Networks has deployed Arcom Digital’s Hunter Technology throughout its entire Florida footprint.
This follows a 2008 installation of Hunter in the Tampa market of the nation’s sixth-largest operator.
Hunter, a network interrogation and predictive maintenance tool, helps cable operators locate the root cause of network impairments. And Hunter not only alerts ops to problems, but it also tells them where the problems are located.
“Our goal is to operate a best-of-breed network and maintain the highest levels of reliability and customer satisfaction,” said Scott Laris, Bright House Networks’ vice president of plant engineering. “Arcom helps our technicians maintain the entire network and anticipate issues proactively, which minimizes service interruptions to our subscribers. We especially like the ability of Hunter to probe below the noise floor to see problems, which helps us find those intermittent issues that otherwise may be challenging to track down.”
