* Comcast joins Movaz investment round
Optical networking gear supplier Movaz Networks has closed a $20 million round in equity funding, and secured an additional line of credit for $12 million.
Leading the round were Anschutz Investment, Comcast Interactive Capital, Menlo Ventures, Oak Investment Partners, Meritech Capital Partners and Worldview Technology Partners.
* Wade gains Lindsay manufacturing rights
Wade Antenna Ltd. has purchased the manufacturing rights of all antenna products owned by Lindsay Broadband Inc., the company formerly known as Lindsay Electronics.
Lindsay Broadband noted that it will continue to market and sell its line of antenna gear, and complement those offerings with products from Wade’s antenna line.
Wade Antenna, along with its TACO and Delhi Antenna divisions, is moving to a new 50,000 square-foot facility in Brantford, Ontario, Canada.
* Geppert set to keynote CTHRA event
Bill Geppert, the regional vice president and general manager of Cox Communications’ San Diego division, is on tap to keynote The Cable and Telecommunications Human Resources Association (CTHRA) Spring Symposium, set for March 9 at the Westgate Hotel in San Diego.
There, Geppert will deliver an address titled “The Race to Workplace Excellence,” and share insight into the strategies that led to Cox being named as the best place to work in San Diego by the San Diego Society for Human Resource Management. In 2005, Cox was awarded the Workplace Excellence Grand Prize, the highest honor given the by SDSHRM.
