*Videotron renews security deal
Canadian MSO Videotron has reupped its Internet security contract with Radialpoint for undisclosed financial terms.
With the deal in place, Videotron has launched two new security service bundles for high-speed Internet subscribers, and includes anti-virus and firewall protection, pop-up and ad blockers and a privacy manager.
The Videotron Service bundle, at $5.95 per month, includes anti-virus, anti-spyware and firewall protection. The Parental Security Services bundle offers those features, as well as parental control features, for $7.95 per month.
*Exavio adds marketing muscle
Server specialist Exavio Inc. has hired two execs to its marketing team: Brad Winett and Jim Farney. Winett was appointed vice president of business development, and Farney was named director of market development.
Winett joins Exavio from DataDirect Networks. Farney is late of Silicon Graphics Inc.
