* Ikanos offers VDSL2 gateway reference design
Ikanos Communications introduced a fully integrated VDSL2 residential gateway reference platform capable of delivering any combination of the services in the triple play.
The design is based on Ikanos’ Fusiv processor and a 5-chip chipset to deliver up to 100 Mbps symmetrical throughput, and support VDSL2, ADSL2+, voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), wireless local area networking (WLAN), Ethernet switching, data routing, NAT and firewall. Netopia, for one, is using the designs to create a line of products.
