The Cable Center has completed a previously announced $2 million endowment from the James M. Cox Foundation and Cox Communications.
Funds from the endowment will be used to create the Cox Customer Experience Initiative, which will provide graduate-level curriculum focused on the study and teaching of customer care, to be applicable to all industries.
“We are honored that the James M. Cox Foundation and Cox Communications have established this important endowment with The Cable Center,” said Larry Satkowiak, president and COO of The Cable Center, in a statement.
The Cable Center is developing the Cox Customer Experience Initiative in partnership with the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business. Both organizations are working together to appoint the James M. Cox Chair in Customer Care and to build curriculum that will comprise a customer care concentration in the MBA program at the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business. The first class in the curriculum will be taught during the fall quarter of 2006.
