Cable One is the latest cable operator to offer authenticated streaming services from HBO Go and Max Go to its subscribers across various devices.
Cable One, the nation’s ninth-largest cable operator that’s owned by The Washington Post Co., is now able to offer more than 1,400 HBO titles, including “Game of Thrones” and “Boardwalk Empire,” to its subscribers via HBO Go, and more than 400 titles from Cinemax.
The services work on any computer in the United States that has a broadband connection, as well as iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch and select Android smartphones. With HBO Go, subscribers can also access video on the Kindle Fire and platforms such as Xbox 360, Samsung Smart TVs and Roku.
“We could not be more excited about the launch of HBO Go and Max Go with Cable One,” said David Burzynski, director of digital media with Cable One. “Cable One customers have been asking us for these exciting products, and with HBO’s superior programming and the upcoming launch of Cable One’s TV Everywhere portal, the timing was perfect.”
Headquartered in Phoenix, CableOneprovides triple-play services to more than 740,000 customers in 19 states.
HBO has aggressively rolled out its TV Everywhere services to numerous video providers, including Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications, Verizon, Charter Communications, Suddenlink Communications, Bright House Networks and Cablevision.
