Cablevision offers voice services through Sprint stores

November 13, 2011 By Mike Robuck

Cablevision’s Optimum Business Benefits program is now available in nearly 60 Sprint stores in the New York City metropolitan area that the cable operator serves.

Cablevision started offering a discounted wireless service from Sprint in August as part of its Optimum Business Benefits program. The mobile service for small- and medium-size businesses was previously only available by phone and Web ordering, but now qualified Optimum Business customers can check out the services and equipment in person at the Sprint stores.

Sprint’s wireless service is available to businesses that subscribe to Cablevision’s Optimum Voice and Optimum Online services.

“Expanding our Optimum Business Benefits offer with Sprint to its stores in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut gives our customers the option to shop for wireless services in a way that’s most convenient for them,” said Stephanie Anderson, vice president of commercial marketing for Cablevision. “Together, we are providing an online and offline experience for our Optimum Business customers that lets them conduct initial research online and fulfill their purchase in a store, with the guidance and support of trained Sprint personnel who are experts on the Optimum Business Benefits offer.”

Each of the Sprint stores underwent specialized training with a dedicated staff that has been trained on the Optimum Business Benefits offer for small business customers. Optimum Business customers can view a full list of participating locations by visiting a Web portal.

“Our small business customers have shared that small business solutions are notoriously complicated and often prefer to meet in person with sales representatives to discuss features or better understand a benefit. By bringing the Optimum Business Benefits program to Sprint locations, we are giving qualified small businesses this ability,” said Sprint regional vice president Keith Dardis. “The Optimum Business Benefits program is a great complement to our Sprint Biz 360 program, which tailors communications packages with cutting-edge phones and applications and unique support from care advocates to help small businesses implement solutions quickly and easily.”

Cablevision launched its Optimum Business Benefits program last year. Earlier this year, Cablevision added a product suite from Network Solutions to the program.
