Sinclair Broadcast Group looks to have avoided a protracted carriage agreement with Comcast with its announcement this morning that an agreement in principle has been reached between the two.
The prospective terms of the retransmission consent agreement weren’t released, but it’s a multi-year deal that will continue the carriage of 36 Sinclair stations in 22 markets.
Sinclair squared off with Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks over their respective carriage agreements until new deals were put in place last month.
