Cox Business, a division of Cox Communications, announced that Philip Meeks was hired as VP, while Cox Communications said that George Richter was named VP of supply chain management.
Meeks will oversee all marketing, operations, sales, product development and strategic partnership initiatives for Cox Business, which is Cox’s fastest-growing business unit, with more than 240,000 customers.
Prior to joining Cox, Meeks founded Channel Solutions Inc., a company focused on enhancing the supply chain between technology vendors and value-added resellers. Previously, Meeks spent nearly 30 years at MCI, AT&T and Southern Bell in various marketing, sales and strategic alliance management positions.
Richter will oversee all supply chain activities, including materials management, purchasing, warehouse and inventory-management, and material requirement forecasting.
Prior to Cox, Richter spent more than 12 years with Arrow Electronics Inc., one of the world’s largest distributors of electronic components and value-added supply chain services.
