Cox Communications will be moving Dan Wherry from Idaho to its central region in Omaha, Neb., once he takes over his duties as director of Cox Business Support.
Wherry will be directing Cox Business Support in Arkansas, Kansas, Nebraska and Idaho out of the company’s main office in Omaha.
For the past two and a half years, Wherry has served as director of operations for Cox’s Sun Valley, Idaho, system.
Wherry’s replacement in Idaho is Guy Cherp, who was in charge of Cox’s Idaho system from 2006 to 2009 before moving to Omaha to become vice president of Cox Business. Cherp has been named as Cox’s vice president of operations for Sun Valley. Under Wherry, Cox switched out its analog channels to digital in the Wood River Valley community this winter.
“At Cox, we continually invest in our network and product offerings to ensure we’re delivering our customers the best products and services available,” said Cox Central Region senior vice president and general manager Janet Barnard. “Dan Wherry’s leadership with the implementation of our all-digital network has positioned us for the advanced service offerings customers demand, including more HD channels, higher Internet speeds and specialized features.
“I’m proud of our investments in the Wood River Valley community, and under Guy Cherp’s direction, know that we will continue to enhance the Cox customer experience for homes and commercial business.”
Wherry and Cherp will assume their new roles later this summer.
