The Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) announced its membership has grown to 100 companies with the recent additions of Huawei and Visteon Corp. Huawei, a mobile handset manufacturers, and Visteon, a global automotive parts supplier, both joined WPC in October.
WPC members include well-known companies like Energizer, HTC, LG, Verizon, Motorola, Nokia, Philips, Panasonic, Samsung, Sanyo, and, Sony-Ericsson. Member companies have come together to support Qi, the global standard for wireless charging, through the introduction of compatible wireless charging products.
